Do you want to keep up with your friends, but not their games? Games like Mafia Wars and Farmville put a LOT of post out there and sometimes you may miss something important like new photos or comments. I’m just as guilty, since I play a LOT of games and probably have been ‘un-friended’ by a few due to that… not any more, at least if they’ll follow the following directions..
Step 1 – Make sure your feed is set to Most Recent and that the application you want to block or filter is somewhere in the list.
Step 2 – Hover the mouse over the corner of the feed you want to filter out and you’ll see the ‘Hide’ box appear. Click on it.
Step 3 – After you select ‘Hide’, Facebook will prompt you to hide the the application.
Step 4 – Just refresh the screen and you should now notice no more ?insert application name?!!! I’ve done this and it works quite well. I still get the invites (not as annoying) and all the other post by the user.. Thanks Facebook!
