Many years ago my CAD teacher told us that he wanted to design a new type of car. One that used hydraulic motors at the wheels and a small motor to power the system. He also described what’s now called regenerative breaking (where the hydraulic motors are reversed and become pumps). He described the accumulator and how the system basically worked. It sounded viable at the time (although I doubted it’s efficiency).

My opinions on the Commuter Cars Corporation’s Tango. This thing is such a great engineering project done right. GM and Ford should take notice! Personally, I like EPDM a lot and think it’s got a world of potential. It does have some faults (lack of built in PDF generation like it’s little brother is my obvious peeve this month) but overall we did evaluate other products and I still think our decision would be the same even today. (Even knowing all the quirks I know about it) |
